The public education system is meant to produce fine young adults prepared for life, but the fruit it’s producing doesn’t even approach those standards. The secularization of public schools leaves the most important part of life out — the spiritual side — and substitutes little for it.
This article discusses how our public “atheist schools” are missing the mark when it comes to preparing people for life.
NiSource, an energy company of Ohio, has announced that it will not hire home-schooled students, preferring public school graduates instead. But as Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis points out, public schools do not allow God, the Bible, prayer or creation because they claim they want to remain neutral.
“The Bible teaches very clearly you’re either for Christ or you’re against Him (Matthew 12:30). There’s no neutrality; there’s no in-between,” Ham cites. “By secular, that means it has nothing to do with God. In fact, in the biology textbooks we read that students are taught that the hull of reality, the universe [and] life are to be explained by natural processes, and the supernatural is not allowed in science.”
So the apologist encourages parents become aware of the effect secular teaching is having on their children’s spirituality.
“Two-thirds of young people are leaving the church by the time they reach college age,” he reports. “And if that continues, where is America going to be in the future? It’ll be where England is today, where two-thirds of teenagers don’t even believe in God.”

Godless education won’t produce godly people. Without godly people, our culture will continue to deteriorate and more people will suffer from the anti-Christian culture that non godly people produce.
While politicians continue to make new laws legalizing sin, godly people often sit back and just accept what they feel they can do nothing about. This does not have to be the case. The only way these things can happen is when the populace being affected is silent.
The godly response to such activity is to stand up and do something about it, not to sit back and complain. There are many ways to take a stand and there are many organizations doing so that need your help. If you are one of the passive onlookers, I encourage you to get involved and take a stand. Speak for Christ — that’s the only way we can promote Christ in culture.
