Our Christian family members’ blood is crying from the ground even as Abel’s was after Cain murdered him in Genesis 4. What is the United States government doing about the widespread massacres of Christian by Muslim persecutors and murders? Not much, really. At least not yet. It’s a downright shame that our own government isn’t eager to help it’s own people suffering all over the world at the hands of militants.
The record in Genesis 4 shows a pattern that has been replicated since it occurred some 6000 years ago. Here’s how the story goes. Cain offers God some produce from his field. Cain sacrifices an animal and offers it to God. God accepts Abel’s offering but rejects Cains. Why you might ask? Why did God favor Abel?
Genesis 4: 1-6 Adam knew his wife Eve intimately, and she conceived and bore Cain. She said, “I have had a male child with the LORD‘s help.”
Then she also gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel became a shepherd of a flock, but Cain cultivated the land.
In the course of time Cain presented some of the land’s produce as an offering to the LORD.
And Abel also presented [an offering] — some of the firstborn of his flock and their fat portions. The Lord had regard for Abel and his offering,
but He did not have regard for Cain and his offering. Cain was furious, and he was downcast.
Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you furious? And why are you downcast?
If you do right, won’t you be accepted? But if you do not do right, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must master it.”
Abel had studied and learned the lesson God had taught his family. There would come a ‘seed of the women’ who would sacrifice himself and die in Adam’s place thereby redeeming all of mankind and the creation itself. His sacrifice of the firstborn of his flock indicated he knew and believed God’s promise in Genesis 3:15.
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.
Cain attempted to win God’s approval by the works of his own hands. “See what great produce I have produced? I saved the best for you, God.” But his offering did not involve a sacrifice. Abel’s offering involved a blood sacrifice. Abel’s offering indicated he not only knew, but believed what God had said about the coming sacrifice that would save all mankind and the world.
The pattern has repeated itself often. In Galatians we read about the one that is currently raging and will do so until our Lord returns to save us.
Galatians 4:22-31 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the bondwoman and one by the free woman.
But the son by the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and the son by the free woman through the promise.
This is allegorically speaking, for these women are two covenants: one proceeding from Mount Sinai bearing children who are to be slaves; she is Hagar.
Now this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children.
But the Jerusalem above is free; she is our mother.
For it is written,
“REJOICE, BARREN WOMAN WHO DOES NOT BEAR;
BREAK FORTH AND SHOUT, YOU WHO ARE NOT IN LABOR;
FOR MORE NUMEROUS ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE DESOLATE
THAN OF THE ONE WHO HAS A HUSBAND.”
And you brethren, like Isaac, are children of promise.
But as at that time he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so it is now also.
But what does the Scripture say?
“CAST OUT THE BONDWOMAN AND HER SON,
FOR THE SON OF THE BONDWOMAN SHALL NOT BE AN HEIR WITH THE SON OF THE FREE WOMAN.”
So then, brethren, we are not children of a bondwoman, but of the free woman.
Could it be any plainer? The children if Ismael are at war with the children of Issac. You see it all over the Middle East and the rest of the world today. Ismael’s descendants are the Arabian people who have adopted Islam as their religion. They are in slavery to their moon God Allah. If you haven’t studied what they are into, you should. It’s the largest antichrist system on earth. Even though they say they believe in Jesus and call him Messiah, they do not believe he is God’s only begotten son and they do not believe he was crucified. They believe their false prophet Mohammed is far above Jesus.
As you watch the news from day to day, keep these things in mind. While persecution in the United States and other western countries is relatively minor, keep in mind that the enemy of God’s people are multiplying at a rate of up to 8 to 1. There are 8 of them born for every 1 of us. It won’t be long until they have the majority population in very many countries. It’s bound to come over here to our wonderful United States of America sooner than later.
Wee need to stand for those being persecuted overseas as well as for us here in our own country. We need to do whatever we can to help save our Christian family from the jaws of our adversary.
If this article disturbs you in any way, I urge you to look within yourself and ask our Lord to show you why. He told us the time was coming when people would kill us, thinking they were doing God service. That time has come, and we need to do something about it.
An encouraging note is that no matter how bad the persecution of Christians was in the first century church, the result was the rise and expansion of the church, not its demise. In other words when the enemy struck and killed several, dozens more would rise up and stand for Christ. Will that happen again? I truly pray so.
