The Star of Bethlehem has perplexed saints and scientists alike for nearly two thousand years. The Bible describes some sort of star that the Magi from the East saw which motivated them to travel hundreds of miles by camel to visit the newly born Savior of the World, Jesus. So what was the star they described and why was it so significant to all mankind?
The answers to those questions have now been answered. There are several clues in the Bible about it, but it takes a good study of ‘stars’ in the Word of God to grasp the whole picture. Modern technology also helps as software can now pinpoint where the stars, planets and other heavenly bodies were in previous times. By using this software and following the clues in God’s Word, researchers have now been able to identify what “the Star of Bethlehem” was and when it appeared.
You can see it all by watching The Star of Bethlehem DVD which you can find here: visit http://www.bethlehemstar.net/ for more information.
I won’t give you all the research here because the DVD is done so well I’m hoping you’ll watch it instead. But I will summarize this most important point or “take away” if you will about this finding.
The stars were made before God even made man as we know man to be on this earth. The stars preceded Adam and Eve according to the Biblical record. Here’s the amazing fact that should shake up just about everyone’s theology today:
God revealed Christ in the stars before He made man on earth!
This tells us that God indeed knows “the end from the beginning” and that everything that has happened has been by design not by chance. God is indeed in control of all things. He was not surprised by Adam’s choice to disobey him. He was not searching for some kind of solution because things went wrong. I can certify from the Scriptures that God is in complete control of everything that has ever happened or will happen in this Universe and beyond — are we willing to accept that?
Isaiah 46:10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’
Now think about that for a while and rejoice in the fact that God is not scrambling trying to fix things that went wrong, but that everything that’s happened has happened for a reason. Before anyone blames God for sin and evil in the world, just remember this: He has a purpose in everything He does and it is for His glory and our salvation. It will all work out in the end. Don’t believe me! Believe God and His Word.
