Please pray for our persecuted family! They need our God’s help desperately. Remember that we are in a spiritual battle and we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual darkness.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in heavenly places.
Are you aware that Christians are being slaughtered in 3/4 of the countries on our planet? If you didn’t think we are in a battle, now you know. God isn’t pleased with what’s going on and Christians all over the world need out help. What can we do? We can pray.
Prayer Works?
I speak from experience and from the Word of God: Prayer works. Consistent prayer is the key, not because God does not hear but because we are in a spiritual battle. I can’t explain all the ins and outs but the Word of God says to ‘pray without ceasing.’
I Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
It’s a short verse but one of the most powerful things you can do!
Pray with the conviction that God hears you and will act. Jesus said when God hears our prayer, then we have the things that we prayed for.
I John 5:14,15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us:
And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we desired of him.
When you pray, just talk to God as you were talking to your father or a best friend. Prayer is simply conversation with God. Prayer doesn’t have to be lengthy, it can take just a moment. I speak with God all day long, sometimes out loud, sometimes silently. I also ‘pray in the spirit.’ I believe that means to speak in tongues in your private prayer life.
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thus with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Thar’s a confusing verse for most of us, but maybe the God’s Word translation will help:
At the same time the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we don’t know how to pray for what we need. But the Spirit intercedes along with our groans that cannot be expressed in words.
Pray with your Understanding and Pray by the Spirit
Pray with words you can understand and pray in the spirit; believe and God will act. Since we are in a spiritual battle, we need many believers of one mind, praying for the same thing to be most effective. Let’s get like-minded on praying regularly for our persecuted brethren around the globe.
In addition, gently remind Christians you know to pray for persecuted Christians. It’s easy to forget what’s going on in the rest of the world as we go about our daily routines. Gentle reminders help. Whenever you see a news report of persecution, pray. Whenever God brings it to your mind, pray. Be a prayer warrior for our persecuted brethren because they surely need it, and they need it now!
Pray without ceasing.
