Meet my brother Jesus: the Savior of the world! I really want you to meet him because he’s nothing like you could ever imagine. You may not know what ‘being saved’ means or why anyone needs to be saved, so let me briefly explain that. Other articles on this site deal with this more in depth but let me summarize it for you here.
1) Mankind disobeyed God and spiritually died, resulting in physical death. Since man is spiritually dead, all mankind will die physically. Man is called mortal several times in the Bible.
2) God is ‘birthing’ a family that will live with him forever. His children must be spiritually alive for “flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.” (I Corinthians 15:50). Thus God has to save spiritually dead mankind.
3) God gave birth to His son named Jesus through a virgin named Mary. God created seed in her womb and she conceived and gave birth to Jesus. Jesus lived his life in total obedience to God and evil men killed him. God’s only begotten Son Jesus gave his perfect life in payment for mankind’s disobedience.
4) God raised Jesus, who did nothing to deserve to die, from the dead. This is called ‘resurrection’ in the Bible.
5) Anyone who confesses Jesus is Lord and believes God raised Jesus from the grave will absolutely be saved. (Romans 10:9).
This is what the Bible teaches about these things. Very few, if any, Christian denominations would disagree with these points. To reinforce the fact that Jesus’ death by crucifixion and subsequent resurrection indeed save spiritually dead mankind, God supplies the following verses in His Word of Truth.
John 3:16,17 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. {17} For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.
John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”
John 4:42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of your saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.
I John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
Luke `19:10 For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.
I John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
I Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those that believe.
I Timothy 2:4 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have ALL men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is One God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Who gave Himself a ransom for ALL to be testified in due time
I Corinthians 15;22 For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified (made alive; re. saved)
Colossians 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
The evidence is overwhelming. Jesus is the savior of the whole world. God’s plan leaves no-one out. Jesus Christ will reconcile “all things in heaven and on earth” unto himself. When you really think about that, is there anyone or any thing you can think of that would not be reconciled?
I’ve given you that food of thought because for centuries people have not been given the fullness of what the good news really means. This truly is “good news” my friends and enemies. It means that God the Creator, through His Son Jesus will absolutely and unequivocally save and restore the entire world.
Philippians 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Confessing Jesus Christ is Lord is a voluntary act, not forced; otherwise how could it be, “to the glory of God the Father?” Think on these things. “Every tongue” will one day confess Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
Confess Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father now.
Romans 10:9 If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
I welcome you to God’s family.
Now for you who are well-versed in the Scriptures I have a question. Did Jesus save all in heaven and earth (all angles and all mankind included) or just some? Here are two verses, also printed above, that give you a big, big clue:
I John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
I Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those that believe.
What do those verses mean to you? If you have any questions, send me an email!
Here’s another clue… but before you read it (again), does God always accomplish His will or not?
I Timothy 2:4 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have ALL men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is One God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Who gave Himself a ransom for ALL to be testified in due time
It doesn’t say “God WISHES to have all men to be saved…” does it? You decide for yourself. What does God’s Word say in these verses I’m presenting in this post? Set aside everything anyone has taught you and let God’s Word teach you afresh. What are you learning directly from God’s Word?
Praise God and thank you Jesus! God bless every one of us!
