God Almighty, the Creator of the heavens and earth, has a special invitation just for you. God’s invitation to you is to enter His Kingdom and enjoy eternal life with Him and His family. The invitation is personal and it does have a time limit.
Why would God invite you into His Kingdom?
It’s not because of how good you are… how nice you are… how popular you are. It’s not because of how much money you have or don’t have. It’s not because you look wonderful or because you treat people well.
We all think we’re at least, “OK.” We are acceptable to ourselves, at least most of us do. But is that God’s criteria? Most of us don’t steal, kill and destroy. But will that make us acceptable to God?
No matter how hard you try, you’ll never measure up to what God calls “righteous.”
While that assessment may seem harsh and cruel, it is simply honest. You are the product of your parents. They are the products of their parents… and so it goes all the way back to Adam and Eve. Oh — that’s right — Adam disobeyed God and that caused the fall of man resulting in separation from God. The very act of disobedience severed man from God. It also polluted the man’s DNA, the genetic code transmitted to all generations from the first man Adam.
If you don’t believe me or need a refresher from the Scriptures, read Romans 5; it’s all there. It’s not your fault you were born into this world without God and without hope (Ephesians 2), and so God provided a way for you to ‘get out of it’ for free. It’s like a get out of jail free card! But let me explain why — it wasn’t free to God — it cost Him His only begotten son’s life.
Every person from Adam has inherited Adam’s nature (See Genesis 5:1-2). Man was originally created in God’s image… Adam fell… Adam had sons and daughters “in his image.” You’ll notice that means, “no longer in God’s image.” God had to provide a way for mankind to get back into His presence and so He sent His son, Jesus.
Jesus Christ came to seek and save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). His unique birth guaranteed his blood was sinless — not inherited from Adam — qualifying Jesus alone to redeem fallen man IF (capital IF) he did what God wanted. God asked Jesus to lay down his perfect, sinless life, in payment for Adam’s disobedience. That he did, and God raised Jesus from the dead and declared him Lord over all.
Because of what Jesus did, here is your invitation directly from God Himself:
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9,10).
Accept God’s Invitation Today
All you have to do is accept God’s offer. Believe and declare, “Jesus, you are Lord. I believe God raised you from death.” Believe it and declare it. God will do the rest.
Christian salvation is the starting point of a vibrant life with God. You’ll want to grow in grace and truth from that point on, and God and our Lord Jesus will guide you. Find other Christians to build relationships with and see what God does in your life and through it.
But first, accept the invitation. It’s free! Everybody loves free stuff! You’ll never find anything that is so valuable yet free in all of the earth. Go for it! Believe and declare Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father — believe God raised him from the dead! Let Jesus save you today.
God’s Invitation is Time-Limited
I’m sorry to have to say this, but there is a time-limit on God’s invitation. There are two conditions under which the invitation becomes null and void. First is your own death. The invitation is valid for as long as you are alive. That, as you know, could change at any time so don’t wait.
God’s invitation will also end when Jesus Christ returns for the Christian Church. At that point in time, the invitation we have will become null and void. A different type of invitation will still exist at that time, but not the one we are offered in this period of time prior to Christ’s return. The latter invitation is quite different and in much harsher circumstances. The Bible indicates that most people will have to die for their faith at that time.
The bottom line is that this is the best time to accept God’s invitation. This is “the acceptable time, the day of salvation.” Don’t put it off. Don’t procrastinate. Don’t wait. Confess Jesus is Lord and believe God raised him from the dead. Become a child of God now.
